Rolex in Geneva seeks a Supplier Quality Officer to manage supplier performance and quality assurance for precision components.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own supplier quality performance for components and sub-assemblies: define acceptance criteria, monitor metrics and enforce Rolex quality standards.
- Plan and conduct supplier evaluations and on-site audits; qualify new suppliers and requalify existing partners.
- Drive containment and corrective actions for supplier non-conformities using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D), and follow through to closure.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering and industrialisation teams to secure supplier readiness during part introduction and production ramp-up.
- Define and maintain supplier quality agreements, control plans, inspection sampling and acceptance protocols.
- Use metrology and statistical tools to investigate process capability issues and reduce incoming defects (SPC, MSA, FMEA).
- Lead supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement projects to reduce PPM and improve delivery quality.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and supplier records; report supplier KPIs to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing supplier quality in precision manufacturing, ideally within watchmaking, micro-mechanics or high-precision components.
- Demonstrated ability to perform supplier audits and manage CAPA to closure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on use of structured tools (8D, root-cause analysis, FMEA).
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and metrology principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration with procurement and engineering.
- Professional maturity, discretion and adherence to high confidentiality standards typical of luxury manufacturing.

Typically requires 5+ years of supplier quality or supplier development experience in precision manufacturing; prior exposure to on-site supplier auditing and industrialisation of components is essential.
