Rolex in Geneva seeks a Site Manager, Critical Infrastructure & MES Systems to lead on‑site IT/OT and MES operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous availability, resilience and security of on‑site critical IT and OT infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations.
- Own the local delivery, support and lifecycle management of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and associated integrations with ERP and plant automation.
- Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident remediation for infrastructure and MES outages, maintaining defined SLAs.
- Coordinate cross‑functional deployment and change activities with global IT teams, engineering, production and external vendors.
- Manage capacity planning, backups, disaster recovery exercises and environment hardening for production systems.
- Supervise, mentor and allocate work for on‑site technical staff and contractors; define priorities and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks and operational dashboards; report key metrics to site and global stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase availability, reduce mean time to repair and optimise MES processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum five years’ progressive experience in IT/OT infrastructure or manufacturing systems, including hands‑on MES support or delivery.
- Proven experience managing technical teams, coordinating with global IT functions and working with external suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of operational IT governance: incident, change and problem management; experience with SLA enforcement.
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of French preferred (role requires regular collaboration with Geneva‑based teams).
Skills
Experience
At least five years of progressively responsible experience supporting or managing IT and OT infrastructure in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrable ownership of MES operations and on‑site technical teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent; advanced technical certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, relevant MES vendor certification) are advantageous.
