Rolex (Geneva) seeks a Silicon Microfabrication Engineer to lead R&D projects in silicon fabrication and metrology for watchmaking.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Propose and implement R&D projects targeting innovative fabrication and measurement processes, with a primary focus on silicon‑based technologies for horology.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives in coordination with R&D, Industrialisation, Production, Industrial Logistics and Quality teams.
  • Manage collaborative projects with academic and industrial partners, ensuring technical alignment and delivery.
  • Formalise and communicate methodologies and outcomes through technical reports and presentations.
  • Maintain scientific and technical watch on novel manufacturing processes of relevance to watchmaking and liaise closely with internal specialists.

Qualifications

  • Degree in physics or microtechnology from a HES/EPF (or equivalent); specialised training or a doctorate is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience with innovative fabrication and measurement processes, preferably acquired in a cleanroom environment.
  • Proven experience managing projects within an industrial setting.
  • Strong communication skills, rigor, autonomy and excellent organisational and planning ability.
  • Dynamic team player with intellectual curiosity and the aptitude to operate in multidisciplinary teams.

Experience
