Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operation and runbook of the SAP BW and BusinessObjects (BO) platforms; plan and coordinate batch jobs and data processing.
- Provide on-call coverage and deliver level‑3 support to end users and project teams for BW/BO incidents and requests.
- Monitor, analyse and optimise performance of SAP BW on HANA, identifying bottlenecks and tuning data flows.
- Manage and execute upgrades, transports and maintenance activities for SAP BW and BO; apply OSS and security notes.
- Administer BW/BO servers and related infrastructure; install and configure development utilities required by BI teams.
- Coordinate environment refreshes and platform lifecycle activities in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
- Contribute to the migration and transformation efforts toward S/4HANA and the evolution of the enterprise data platform.
- Collaborate with Data, Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure alignment with Rolex technical standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent technical education.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with SAP BW and SAP BusinessObjects (BO), including upgrades, transports, monitoring and optimisation.
- Proven knowledge of SAP BW on HANA and familiarity with S/4HANA migration principles.
- Understanding of information security principles and application of OSS/security notes.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with a service‑oriented mindset; proactive, autonomous and team‑spirited.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of progressive, hands‑on experience administering SAP BW and SAP BusinessObjects environments, including performance tuning, upgrades and production support.
Education
Higher education in computer science, information systems or a related technical discipline.
