Rolex R&D internship in Bienne: six-month research opportunity in additive synthesis for lubricants. Chemistry Master's student.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive state-of-the-art review in the field of additive synthesis
- Develop and optimise organic synthesis protocols for target additives
- Execute laboratory syntheses under appropriate supervision and safety protocols
- Characterise synthesised products for quality and purity using analytical instrumentation
- Prepare and submit a comprehensive final technical report
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in organic synthesis
- Hands-on experience with analytical characterisation techniques such as FTIR, GC-MS, or UPLC
Skills
Experience
Practical laboratory experience in organic synthesis and analytical characterisation techniques; prior internship or coursework in chemical synthesis or materials science is advantageous.
Education
Master's degree programme in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
