Rolex Research & Development Intern role in Bienne, Switzerland evaluating chemical alternatives for production applications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Catalogue current cyanide chemistry applications across the manufacturing facility
- Characterize surfaces obtained through various production processes
- Determine and propose reaction mechanisms of chemical solutions relative to surface interactions using electrochemistry and analytical chemistry
- Conduct benchmarking and scientific literature review aligned with the project scope
- Analyze risks for current and projected use cases
- Document and communicate findings and experimental results
- Identify and evaluate alternative chemical products to satisfy operational requirements
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in electrochemistry or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated capacity for analytical synthesis and data interpretation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
