Rolex in Geneva seeks a Reliability Modelling Intern to support predictive maintenance and equipment reliability projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support development and validation of statistical and machine-learning models to predict failures and remaining useful life of production equipment.
- Collect, clean and pre-process sensor, maintenance and production datasets; ensure data quality and traceability.
- Execute reliability analyses (Weibull, survival analysis, fault-tree / reliability block diagrams) and translate results into actionable maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with maintenance engineers, production teams and data scientists to integrate predictive outputs into maintenance planning and condition-based monitoring pilots.
- Prepare technical reports and visualisations; communicate findings and recommendations to engineering stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, reliability engineering, data science, applied mathematics or a closely related field.
- Solid grounding in statistics, probability, and reliability theory; coursework or project experience in reliability analysis preferred.
- Demonstrable experience working with real-world datasets and performing data cleaning and exploratory analysis.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to synthesise technical results for operational teams.
- Fluent technical written and verbal communication in English; French language ability is an advantage (not mandatory).
