Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate quality activities across the new-product introduction (NPI) lifecycle, from design validation through pilot series and industrialization.
  • Define and implement product-specific quality plans, acceptance criteria and verification protocols in partnership with R&D, production and supply-chain stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier quality for outsourced components: qualification, audits, incoming inspection criteria and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Perform risk analyses (FMEA), root-cause investigations (8D) and drive continuous-improvement initiatives to mitigate product and process non-conformities.
  • Oversee validation testing, metrology checks and conformity reporting to ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable regulatory or industry requirements.
  • Track quality KPIs, prepare management reports and present project status to cross-functional steering committees.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions during pre-series and ramp-up phases and ensure lessons learned are embedded into production processes.
  • Coach and liaise with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure timely resolution of quality issues and on-time product launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, industrial engineering or equivalent technical qualification; advanced degree or watchmaking qualification desirable.
  • Proven command of quality methodologies including APQP, FMEA, SPC and root-cause analysis (8D).
  • Experience working with supplier qualification and manufacturing validation protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary projects and to interface effectively with R&D, production and procurement functions.
  • Strong analytical aptitude, attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation and traceability.
