Rolex in Geneva seeks a Quality Controller to perform dimensional and visual inspections, manage non-conformities, and ensure horological quality standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of components and completed watches against technical drawings and internal quality standards.
- Execute dimensional measurements using CMM, micrometers, calipers and optical comparators; record results and maintain traceable inspection records.
- Conduct visual inspections and microscopic examinations to detect defects, surface imperfections and assembly non-conformities.
- Raise, document and track non-conformities in the quality management system; prepare deviation reports and support containment actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering and suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in first article inspections, sample plans, statistical process control (SPC) and gage R&R studies to validate process capability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework and variability while maintaining compliance with ISO and internal standards.
- Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated and maintained; follow lab housekeeping and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma in watchmaking (CFC), mechanical engineering, metrology or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, geometric tolerances and inspection plans.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and excellent visual acuity for fine-detail inspection.
- Methodical approach to documentation, traceability and adherence to quality procedures.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and CAPA.

Experience
Typically 2+ years in quality control within precision manufacturing or micro‑mechanics, ideally with experience in watchmaking or closely related industries.
Education
Vocational diploma in watchmaking, mechanical engineering, metrology or equivalent technical qualification; higher technical diploma advantageous.
