Rolex (Geneva) seeks a Purchasing Intern to support procurement operations and supplier coordination for the house's procurement team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing team with day‑to‑day procurement operations, including creation and follow‑up of purchase orders.
- Maintain and update procurement databases and supplier records, ensuring accuracy of order, delivery and invoice data.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (production, quality, logistics) to track order status and expedite deliveries when required.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, lead times, shipment information and corrective actions.
- Assist in preparation of RFQs/RFIs and compilation of comparative supplier quotes and documentation.
- Contribute to basic spend and supplier performance reporting and ad hoc data analysis for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support invoice reconciliation and documentation to prepare files for the accounts‑payable process.
- Participate in procurement meetings and take minutes; assist with project tasks as directed by the purchasing manager.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme in supply chain management, business administration, procurement, industrial engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrable organisational aptitude and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple administrative tasks concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional phone and email etiquette for supplier interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, basic analysis and reporting.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams and maintain discretion handling commercial information.
- Professional demeanour appropriate to a luxury manufacturing environment.

Entry‑level; previous internships or coursework in procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain functions are advantageous but not required.
Education
Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate degree (supply chain, business, engineering or equivalent).
