Role & Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble and adjust high‑precision prototypes of watch components and sub‑assemblies according to engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with design, R&D and production engineering to translate concepts into manufacturable prototypes and to iterate designs based on testing feedback.
  • Operate and maintain small machine tools, manual lathes, micro‑machining equipment and precision hand‑assembly benches while ensuring cleanliness and traceability.
  • Perform metrology and functional testing on prototypes, record results, analyse deviations and implement corrective actions to meet stringent quality standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances and specifications; produce clear work instructions and documentation for development cycles.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for prototyping processes, material selection and assembly techniques while maintaining strict safety and confidentiality protocols.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma or technician degree in watchmaking, precision mechanics, mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • Proven manual dexterity and aptitude for micro‑mechanical assembly and finishing.
  • Ability to read and apply technical drawings, dimensional tolerances and specification sheets.
  • Strong commitment to quality, cleanliness and traceability in a regulated production environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with R&D, design and production teams; adaptability to iterative development cycles.
