The Watch Case and Bracelet Project Engineer designs Tudor’s future watches to meet aesthetic and technical targets and quality requirements. The role covers product development, prototype follow-up, PLM data quality, industrial convergence and reliability assessment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design wristwatches, including the watch, case, dial and bracelet, and contribute to assessing their performance, reliability and technical feasibility for new product development and the continuous improvement of serial products.
- Create data for entry into the PLM tool, including part records, drawings and models, and ensure its quality.
- Work directly with prototype makers and designers to support the follow-up of initial prototypes.
- Contribute to industrial convergence with production and external suppliers.
- Identify and analyse product characteristics and specifications in close collaboration with the reliability laboratory.
- Support and develop computer-based design tools and methods.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in microtechnology or mechanics from a University of Applied Sciences, Federal Institute of Technology or equivalent.
- Very good command of design tools, including CREO, Simulate and Ansys.
- Knowledge of PLM tools, including Windchill PDMLink.
- Experience in micromechanical construction, ideally in watch exterior construction and jewellery.
- Proactive, autonomous and curious, with a strong sense of objectivity and rigour.
- Assertive and able to bring people together, with the ability to propose initiatives and lead them within multidisciplinary teams.
