Role & Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of capital equipment projects: specification, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover to production.
  • Develop technical specifications and acceptance criteria for new equipment in collaboration with production, quality and R&D stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier selection, commercial negotiations and vendor performance to ensure schedule, quality and cost targets are met.
  • Coordinate installation, FAT/SAT (factory/site acceptance tests) and validation activities, including on-site supervision and technical troubleshooting.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation: technical files, qualification reports, risk assessments, and change records.
  • Control project budgets and timelines; report progress and escalate risks to the engineering management team.
  • Define and implement preventive maintenance and spare-parts strategies for newly installed equipment.
  • Introduce continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment reliability, uptime and manufacturability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical apprenticeship with demonstrable technical experience.
  • Proven experience managing capital equipment projects in precision manufacturing, preferably in watchmaking or high-precision industries.
  • Strong track record of vendor management and contract negotiation for technical equipment.
  • Experience with equipment qualification, commissioning and validation protocols.
  • Fluency in technical documentation and regulatory/compliance requirements applicable to production environments.
  • Demonstrable ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
