Rolex seeks a Project Engineer in Bienne, Switzerland to lead stamping die development and continuous improvement initiatives. HES degree and CAD expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and design progressive and modular stamping dies using PTC Creo 8, from concept through detailed documentation
- Propose and present die sketches, designs, and technical concepts to stakeholders
- Maintain and assure the integrity of master data related to stamping dies
- Manage updates and modifications to die designs and associated documentation
- Conduct design of experiments (DOE) and failure analysis on stamping processes
- Oversee industrialization and production readiness of stamped components at external suppliers
- Establish and implement technical standards and best practices within the engineering department
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure quality, schedule, and specification compliance
Qualifications
- Engineering degree from a HES (École polytechnique/university of applied sciences) or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated expertise in stamping, forming, and die design
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design, ideally PTC Creo 8
- Experience with simulation and analysis tools, preferably Autodesk Forge or equivalent
- Knowledge of quality and process improvement methodologies (PDCA, QRQC, 8D)
- Strong analytical and synthetic thinking with proven priority management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Team player with autonomy, proactivity, and capability to contribute creative solutions
Skills
Experience
Demonstrated professional experience in stamping, forming, or die design combined with proven project management track record. Prior exposure to supplier coordination and process industrialization is essential.
Education
Engineering degree from a HES (Swiss school of applied sciences) or equivalent internationally recognized qualification in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
