Role & Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of components and finished movements according to established criteria and technical drawings.
- Operate and program metrology equipment (CMM) and precision measurement tools to verify tolerances and surface quality.
- Identify, document and segregate non-conforming items; execute containment and support root-cause analysis with production and engineering.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports and traceability documentation in compliance with internal quality systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by proposing corrective actions, participating in FMEA/8D investigations and monitoring CAPAs.
- Collaborate with production, assembly and maintenance teams to ensure process capability and adherence to cleanroom or controlled-environment procedures.
- Contribute to supplier quality assessments and incoming inspection for purchased components when required.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma in watchmaking, micro-mechanics, precision engineering or equivalent technical training.
- Strong knowledge of interpreting technical drawings, GD&T and dimensional tolerancing.
- Proven ability to perform detailed visual inspection and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers).
- Familiarity with metrology equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and attendant software.
- Systematic problem-solver with experience in corrective action methodologies (8D, root-cause analysis, CAPA).
- High manual dexterity, excellent attention to detail and steady fine-motor skills appropriate to watchmaking tolerances.

Several years of hands-on experience in quality inspection within precision manufacturing or watchmaking, including use of metrology equipment and structured problem-solving in a production environment.
Education
Diploma or vocational certificate in watchmaking, micro-mechanics, precision engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
