Role & Responsibilities
- Undertake structured shop-floor training to assemble, adjust and test precision mechanical components and sub-assemblies under supervision.
- Learn to operate, set up and maintain conventional machine tools and CNC equipment according to production instructions.
- Read and apply technical drawings, work instructions and tolerance specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, height gauge) to perform in-process inspection and basic metrology.
- Participate in preventive maintenance tasks and keep equipment and work areas compliant with safety and quality standards.
- Log production data, complete quality documentation and follow traceability procedures.
- Attend vocational school classes and integrate theoretical lessons with practical workshop assignments.
Qualifications
- Completed compulsory schooling; eligibility for a Swiss Federal VET apprenticeship (CFC) or equivalent.
- Strong manual dexterity, good hand–eye coordination and an aptitude for detailed mechanical work.
