Rolex in Biel/Bienne is hiring a Production Mechanic Apprentice (EFZ). Apprenticeship in precision manufacturing and CNC at Rolex's Swiss production site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Undertake a formal apprenticeship program to obtain the Swiss Federal VET diploma (EFZ) as a Production Mechanic.
  • Learn to set up, operate and maintain production machinery including lathes and milling equipment under supervision.
  • Develop proficiency in CNC machine operation, tool changes and basic programming fundamentals.
  • Read and interpret technical and ISO engineering drawings to manufacture and assemble precision components.
  • Perform precision measurement and quality-control checks using instruments such as calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
  • Carry out routine preventive maintenance, cleaning and safe handling of machines and tools.
  • Collaborate with technicians and production teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Attend vocational school and internal training modules as part of the structured apprenticeship curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Completed compulsory schooling (lower secondary education) or equivalent; technical/vocational subjects advantageous.
  • Strong manual dexterity, steady hand and keen eye for small tolerances.
  • Good numeracy and spatial reasoning; comfortable with technical drawings and measurements.
