Rolex in Biel/Bienne seeks a Production Mechanic Apprentice (CFC) for a hands-on apprenticeship in precision watch component manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Learn and operate conventional machine tools and CNC equipment to manufacture movement and case components.
- Interpret technical drawings and prepare the necessary tools, fixtures and raw materials for production.
- Set up, adjust and monitor machines, ensuring process stability and adherence to machining parameters.
- Carry out in-process and final quality checks and report non-conformities according to established procedures.
- Follow health, safety and clean-room standards; maintain production documentation and tool inventories.
- Participate in structured apprenticeship training under experienced instructors and apply theoretical lessons on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Motivation for an apprenticeship in production mechanics and interest in metalworking and precision engineering.
- Good spatial representation and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Logical, methodical mindset with strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Application dossier including CV, cover letter, school reports for the last three years and EVA/EVATech test results or registration.

No prior professional experience required; the apprenticeship is intended for school leavers or candidates at the start of their career who demonstrate aptitude for precision work and industrial machinery.
Education
Compulsory schooling completed or equivalent. Candidates must provide school reports for the three most recent years and complete the EVA/EVATech entrance tests.
