Rolex in Geneva seeks an Intern — Process Prioritization to optimise preparation prioritization within the L.E.S. evolution for watch production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyse existing prioritization logic and preparation workflows within the L.E.S. system, mapping end-to-end processes and decision rules.
- Design, model and validate alternative prioritization algorithms or business rules to improve throughput, on-time readiness and resource utilisation.
- Develop quantitative simulations and scenario analyses to measure impact on production KPIs and identify trade-offs.
- Implement reporting and visualisation dashboards to monitor prioritization performance and support operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with production planning, supply chain, quality, and IT teams to translate proposed changes into deployable requirements and test plans.
- Document revised processes, update standard operating procedures and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical aptitude with demonstrable experience in process mapping, modelling or operations projects (academic or professional).
- Proven ability to translate quantitative analysis into practical operational recommendations and clear documentation.
- Effective communicator with experience presenting technical findings to mixed stakeholder groups.
Skills
Experience
Project or internship experience in production planning, operations analysis, process improvement, or a related quantitative role. Academic projects using real-world datasets or simulation models are acceptable for this internship-level role.
Education
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related field.
