Rolex in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland seeks a Polymechanic Apprentice (CFC) to train in precision machining and assembly within its manufacturing operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured apprenticeship programme combining hands-on workshop rotations with vocational schooling to obtain the Swiss CFC qualification.
- Operate and assist with conventional and CNC machine tools (turning, milling) under supervision to produce precision mechanical components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications; perform measurements and basic dimensional control using micrometers, calipers and gauges.
- Support mechanical assembly and adjustment of components to tight tolerances, following documented work instructions and quality protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance of tools and equipment, maintain a clean and safe workstation and adhere to health & safety rules.
- Document work processes, report non-conformities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Qualifications
- Completed compulsory schooling; eligible for enrolment in a CFC apprenticeship programme.
- Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills with an aptitude for precision work.
- Solid grounding in mathematics and basic physics; capacity to learn technical drawing interpretation.
- High degree of reliability, attention to detail and commitment to long-term vocational training.
- Willingness to attend vocational school and rotate across manufacturing units as required.

Experience
No prior professional experience is required; practical experience from school workshops, hobby projects, or short internships in a mechanical workshop is advantageous.
Education
Eligible candidate for a Swiss CFC (Certificat Fédéral de Capacité) apprenticeship; completion of compulsory schooling or equivalent.
