Rolex is recruiting an Operations Apprentice (CFC) in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. Apprenticeship opportunity in manufacturing operations and precision production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in day-to-day production and operational activities under the supervision of experienced technicians, learning safe and efficient use of production equipment.
- Support the flow of materials and components across workshops: receiving, storage, Kanban/replenishment, and preparation for assembly.
- Assist with basic assembly, inspection and handling of precision components while adhering to tight quality and cleanliness standards.
- Contribute to routine maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and workstations, reporting issues and following preventive maintenance procedures.
- Record production data, complete standard documentation and follow traceability procedures required in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Apply occupational health & safety rules and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and on-the-job training modules.
Qualifications
- Completion of compulsory schooling; eligible for enrolment in a Swiss CFC apprenticeship programme.
- Strong manual dexterity, fine motor skills and an aptitude for precision work.
- Demonstrated interest in manufacturing, mechanics or watchmaking; willingness to learn technical processes.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Basic numeracy and ability to read technical instructions; good observational skills and attention to detail.
Skills
Experience
No prior professional experience required; internships, school practicals or demonstrable hands-on projects in mechanics or workshop environments are advantageous. The role is structured for candidates beginning their vocational career and includes formal workplace training.
Education
Eligible for Swiss CFC (Certificat Fédéral de Capacité) apprenticeship enrolment; completion of compulsory education is required.
