Rolex seeks an occupational therapist specializing in ergonomics and workplace safety to manage ergonomics cases with its external ergonomist and Health department. The role covers workstation assessments, risk prevention, ergonomic improvement projects, and training across industrial and administrative sites in Geneva.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct ergonomic observations and analyses of workstations across production, assembly, quality control, logistics, maintenance, and administrative sites.
- Identify risk factors related to musculoskeletal disorders, awkward postures, manual handling, visual strain, and precision work.
- Propose, coordinate, and monitor ergonomic improvements, balancing quality, productivity, safety, and confidentiality requirements in an industrial environment.
- Contribute to the design or transformation of workstations in collaboration with Production, Methods, Industrialization, Maintenance, Quality, and Infrastructure teams.
- Coordinate operationally with external ergonomics experts by preparing interventions, sharing required information, coordinating site visits, tracking recommendations, and overseeing implementation.
- Lead awareness-raising and training activities on workstation ergonomics and musculoskeletal disorder prevention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Applied Sciences (HES) in occupational therapy or an equivalent qualification.
- More than 3 years of proven experience in ergonomics, musculoskeletal disorder prevention, and vocational rehabilitation in an industrial environment, ideally in microtechnology, watchmaking, electronics, medical, or precision industries.
- Proficiency in activity analysis methods and ergonomic workstation assessment.
- Knowledge of biomechanics, manual handling, postural constraints, and occupational risk prevention.
- Additional training in ergonomics or workplace safety is an asset.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and engage both on-site stakeholders and support functions.
- Strong listening skills, diplomacy, rigour, autonomy, and excellent synthesis skills.
- Willingness to travel between sites.
