Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary medical care and first-response treatment to employees on-site, including emergency triage and stabilization.
  • Manage occupational health surveillance programmes: pre-employment and periodic medical examinations, fitness-for-work assessments and work-related illness follow-up.
  • Administer vaccinations and basic clinical procedures in accordance with medical protocols and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and ensure compliance with data-protection and healthcare confidentiality standards.
  • Conduct workplace health risk assessments and participate in incident investigations to identify preventive measures.
  • Develop and lead health promotion initiatives, ergonomic advice and return-to-work programmes in collaboration with HR and safety teams.
  • Coordinate referrals to external medical specialists and manage relationships with occupational physicians and local healthcare providers.
  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning from a clinical perspective.

Qualifications

  • Valid professional nursing registration/licence recognised in Switzerland (registered nurse / infirmier diplômé).
  • Current certification in basic life support (BLS/CPR); advanced emergency certifications advantageous.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of occupational health principles, workplace risk assessment and relevant Swiss regulations.
  • Fluency in French and strong working knowledge of English; additional language skills are beneficial.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, professionalism and discretion handling sensitive medical information.
