Role & Responsibilities
- Design and produce model components for watch dressage in accordance with stylistic directions from the design office.
- Develop prototypes and detailed models using a combination of manual jewellery techniques and digital tools (CAO/DAO).
- Participate in research & development projects to explore new aesthetics and technical solutions for forthcoming collections.
- Collaborate closely with design, prototyping and production teams to ensure aesthetic intent and manufacturability of conceived parts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and stay abreast of technological evolutions in materials and fabrication methods.
Qualifications
- CFC (Swiss federal certificate) in jeweller/jewellery (Bijoutier–Joaillier) or an equivalent recognised qualification in jewellery-making.
- Several years of hands‑on experience in a jewellery workshop with significant exposure to watchmaking or horological components.
- Demonstrable mastery of jewellery techniques and manufacturing processes applicable to watch dressage.
- Solid knowledge of materials, machining techniques and dimensional/functional constraints specific to watches.
- High degree of precision, rigour and adaptability; strong team spirit and effective communication skills.
Skills
Experience
Several years of professional experience in a jewellery atelier with tangible involvement in horology or production of watch components; experience in R&D and prototype development is advantageous.
Education
CFC Bijoutier–Joaillier or equivalent recognised vocational qualification in jewellery-making.
