Role & Responsibilities
- Translate design sketches and technical drawings into production‑ready three‑dimensional models and patterns for watches and components.
- Produce physical prototypes using traditional handcraft techniques and precision machining; execute finishing and surface preparation to haute‑horlogerie standards.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering and production teams to refine form, fit and manufacturability while respecting dimensional tolerances and material constraints.
- Iterate rapidly on samples and maintain controlled versioning of models and patterns; document specifications and production notes for transfer to manufacturing.
- Perform precise measurements and quality checks using metrology instruments; propose corrective actions to resolve fit or finish issues.
- Contribute to material selection and process development for new components and decorative treatments.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma or equivalent in model making, industrial design, watchmaking, precision mechanics or a related craft discipline.
- Minimum three years' practical experience in model making, prototyping or pattern making — ideally within luxury watchmaking, jewelry or high‑end product development.
- Demonstrable portfolio of physical models, prototypes or patterns showing attention to detail, finishing quality and dimensional control.
- Excellent manual dexterity, visual acuity and facility with fine tolerances.
