Role & Responsibilities
- Perform production follow-ups and execute series changeovers on bar/band milling operations (fraisage en bande).
- Set up, adjust and qualify milling machines and associated fixtures to ensure compliance with production standards.
- Contribute to the design and validation of production tooling and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and implement corrective actions to restore and stabilize production.
- Support the business process owner and act as a backup for production operators, including on-the-job training and operator replacement as needed.
- Capture and document know‑how and participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen/SMED initiatives).
Qualifications
- Swiss CFC in Production Mechanic (mécanicien de production) or equivalent vocational qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience in milling.
- Proven experience with band/bar milling operations (fraisage) and machine set-up/changeover.
- Strong knowledge and mastery of production equipment and tooling.
- Familiarity with basic problem‑solving tools and methodologies.
- Methodical approach, analytical mindset and proactive problem‑solving attitude.
- Collaborative team spirit and capability to train and support operators.
Skills
Experience
Hands‑on experience in a production machining environment, with a track record of setting up and stabilizing milling processes; practical exposure to tooling design and operator support is required.
Education
CFC (Swiss Federal Certificate) as Production Mechanic or equivalent vocational qualification; equivalent professional experience accepted.
