Rolex in Geneva seeks a Methods Project Manager — New Products to lead industrialisation and process readiness for new watch models.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and implementation of manufacturing methods for new product introductions, ensuring robust, repeatable processes from prototype to serial production.
- Coordinate cross‑functional project teams (R&D, industrialisation, production, quality, supply chain and tooling) to meet technical, timing and cost targets.
- Perform process studies, time and motion analyses, and capability assessments to validate manufacturability and production flow.
- Write and maintain detailed work instructions, control plans and standard operating procedures for new models.
- Manage pilot runs and ramp‑up activities, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to achieve first‑pass quality and yield targets.
- Specify tooling, fixtures and assembly aids; collaborate with suppliers and internal workshops to qualify equipment.
- Deploy continuous‑improvement and lean methodologies to optimise cycle time, ergonomics and cost without compromising quality.
- Track project KPIs, prepare technical reports and present progress to stakeholders and functional management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in methods engineering, industrialisation or process engineering within precision manufacturing; experience in watchmaking is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable project management capability, with successful end‑to‑end delivery of new product introductions.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, DFx principles and process validation techniques.
- Experience specifying tooling and working with external suppliers/contractors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder alignment.

Typically 3–5 years in methods engineering, industrialisation or process engineering within precision or high‑tolerance manufacturing; direct experience in horology or luxury goods manufacturing is a strong advantage.
Education
