Rolex in Geneva seeks a Methods Project Manager to lead industrialisation and process improvement projects for precision watch manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end methods and industrialization projects to establish, validate and scale manufacturing processes for precision watch components and assemblies.
- Define and document standardised work instructions, cycle times, tooling and fixtures, ergonomics analyses and operator training materials.
- Conduct time & motion studies, value stream mapping and root‑cause analyses to identify capacity constraints and efficiency opportunities.
- Specify and pilot new production technologies, automated workstations and process measurement systems in collaboration with R&D, quality and production teams.
- Coordinate cross‑functional project teams (production, quality, maintenance, procurement, supply chain) and manage project timelines, budgets and risk registers.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) and track KPIs to validate process robustness and yield improvements.
- Ensure process documentation and methods comply with internal quality systems and applicable regulatory/industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent; master’s degree preferred.
- Certification or formal training in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) and project management methodology (Prince2/PMI) desirable.
- Strong competence in process analysis techniques: time & motion study, value stream mapping, FMEA and SPC.
- Proven ability to translate engineering analyses into practical shop‑floor standards and operator training.

Experience
Typically requires 3–7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing methods, industrialization or process improvement within precision mechanics, watchmaking, medical devices or other high‑precision production environments. Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional projects and implementing shop‑floor standards is expected.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering; master’s degree or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
