Rolex seeks experienced Mechanics Trainer in Bienne, Switzerland, to instruct apprentices in precision machining and automatic turning technology.
Role & Responsibilities
- Train apprentices and collaborators on automatic turning machine technology (Tornos and Citizen platforms)
- Deliver inter-company apprenticeship courses and conduct regular assessments of acquired technical and theoretical knowledge
- Develop and continuously update training materials and course content to reflect industry standards
- Evaluate and assess apprentice and employee competencies through practical and theoretical examinations
- Maintain and advance pedagogical and technical skills through continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Certified Federal Diploma (CFC) or equivalent in mechanics (four-year program minimum)
- Demonstrated expertise in setup, calibration, and tool changeover procedures on Tornos and Citizen automatic turning machines
- Proven experience training apprentices in mechanical disciplines
- Proficiency in machine programming; expertise in cutting and threading operations preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with particular ability to engage and mentor younger professionals
- Excellent pedagogical aptitude with enthusiasm for knowledge transmission and reflective practice
- Capacity to establish and maintain trust-based professional relationships

Experience
Confirmed professional experience in setup, calibration, and tool changeover on automatic turning machine technologies, coupled with demonstrated experience in apprenticeship training within a precision manufacturing environment.
Education
Certified Federal Diploma (CFC) in mechanics or equivalent formal qualification in a mechanical trade discipline.
