Rolex seeks a Mechanical Trainer in Bienne, Switzerland to instruct apprentices in precision turning technology and CNC machining systems.
Role & Responsibilities
- Train apprentices and employees on precision turning technology (décolletage) and CNC machining systems
- Deliver inter-company apprenticeship courses and coordinate practical instruction
- Develop and continuously update training materials and course curricula
- Assess and evaluate apprentice knowledge and technical competency on a regular basis
- Maintain and enhance personal pedagogical and technical expertise through ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- CFC (Federal Certificate of Competence) in mechanical trades with a minimum 4-year apprenticeship
- Proven experience in machine setup, tooling adjustment, and tool changeover on Tornos and Citizen turning centers
- Demonstrated experience training apprentices and young professionals
- Proficiency in CNC programming; familiarity with threading and knurling techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create a supportive learning environment for diverse age groups
- Pedagogical aptitude with genuine enthusiasm for knowledge transfer and continuous self-improvement
- Ability to establish and maintain trust-based working relationships

Confirmed professional experience in precision turning machine setup, tooling adjustment, and tool changeover; experience instructing apprentices in manufacturing and technical skills development.
Education
Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in mechanical trades or equivalent, requiring a minimum 4-year formal apprenticeship in mechanics or precision manufacturing.
