Rolex in Geneva seeks a Production Manager to lead watchmaking manufacturing operations and teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and organise day-to-day production activities in a high-precision watchmaking environment to meet quality, delivery and productivity targets.
  • Manage, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of watchmakers, technicians and operators; plan staffing and training to ensure skills continuity.
  • Implement and monitor production planning, scheduling and workflow to optimise throughput while maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean principles, root-cause analysis) to reduce waste, improve yields and enhance process stability.
  • Ensure equipment availability and preventive maintenance programs; coordinate with technical maintenance and engineering teams for installations and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with procurement, quality control and supply-chain teams to secure component availability and resolve production constraints.
  • Enforce workplace safety, regulatory and internal compliance standards; maintain accurate production reporting and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or apprenticeship in watchmaking (e.g. WOSTEP) or a technical qualification in mechanical engineering/manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership experience in precision manufacturing or watchmaking, with responsibility for multi-skilled teams.
  • Deep understanding of horological assembly processes, precision tolerances and quality-control methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement and production management systems.
