Rolex seeks a Machining Specialist in Geneva — precision CNC machining of high‑end watch components for a world‑leading horology maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up, program and operate CNC machine tools to produce high‑precision watch components in accordance with technical drawings and strict tolerances.
- Perform tooling selection, machine fixturing and first‑part qualification; adjust process parameters to ensure consistent part quality and productivity.
- Interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing (GD&T) to meet dimensional and surface‑finish specifications.
- Carry out in‑process and final inspection using micrometers, calipers and CMM; document nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production engineering, tooling and quality teams to optimize machining processes and introduce continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on machining equipment; ensure compliance with safety and maintenance protocols.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma or apprenticeship in precision machining, mechanical engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven track record in precision or micro‑machining (watchmaking, medical, aerospace or similar highly precise industries).
- Solid ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
- Experience with CNC programming and setup for multi‑axis machining centers.
- Strong commitment to quality, attention to detail and adherence to documented manufacturing procedures.

Experience
Typically 3+ years of hands‑on experience in precision or micro‑machining; prior experience in horology or another high‑precision manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Education
Vocational diploma or apprenticeship in precision machining, mechanical engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
