Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and execute time-and-motion studies to measure order preparation and picking durations across logistics workflows.
  • Collect, validate and structure operational data from the warehouse floor, scanning systems and manual observations.
  • Perform statistical analysis to quantify variability, identify bottlenecks and calculate standard times for tasks.
  • Map existing processes, document takt times and create value-stream representations of preparation flows.
  • Develop performance dashboards and visual reports (KPIs: throughput, cycle time, productivity) for operations stakeholders.
  • Propose pragmatic process improvements and contribute to pilot implementations with warehouse and logistics teams.
  • Present findings and recommendations to logistics managers and cross-functional partners in clear, data-driven reports.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Statistics or equivalent.
  • Practical experience or academic coursework in time-and-motion studies, process mapping or industrial organization.
  • Strong analytical reasoning with the ability to translate observations into measurable process improvements.
  • Comfortable working on the warehouse floor and collaborating with operational teams in a manufacturing/logistics environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder presentations.
