Rolex in Geneva seeks a Logistics Manager to oversee inventory, distribution and international shipping for its watch operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including inbound procurement flows, internal movements between production sites, warehousing and outbound distribution to boutiques and wholesale partners.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (inventory accuracy, OTIF, lead times, warehouse productivity) and deploy continuous improvement initiatives to optimise costs and service levels.
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers; ensure compliant import/export procedures and accurate shipping documentation under applicable Incoterms and customs regulations.
- Control inventory integrity through cycle counting, stock reconciliation, expiry/obsolescence management and strict security protocols appropriate for high-value goods.
- Coordinate cross-functional planning with production, quality control, procurement and retail operations to align supply chain priorities and resolve disruptions.
- Supervise, coach and develop the logistics team, establishing role clarity, performance objectives and training plans.
- Lead implementation and optimisation of warehouse management and ERP processes, including user acceptance, data governance and integration with manufacturing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, industrial engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree or advanced certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibility in logistics or supply chain management, ideally within luxury goods, watchmaking, jewellery or other high-value sectors.
- Proven experience managing international distribution, customs processes and high-value inventory controls.
- Demonstrable leadership of operational teams with capability to set priorities, manage performance and drive change.
- Strong analytical capability and experience implementing process improvements (Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent).
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills with external logistics partners and internal functions.
Skills
Experience
Approximately 5+ years in logistics or supply chain roles with progressive operational responsibility; prior experience in luxury goods, watchmaking, or other high-value product environments is strongly preferred. Demonstrated track record of managing international shipments, customs clearance and inventory security.
Education
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, industrial engineering or equivalent; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in supply chain management is advantageous.
