Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured apprenticeship to design, develop, integrate and deploy software applications or infrastructure components according to the chosen CFC pathway (application development or operations/infrastructure).
- Install, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers and network equipment; ensure system availability and performance.
- Implement basic security measures and assist in securing systems, networks and applications under supervision.
- Provide first- and second-line support to end users: troubleshoot workstations, software and network connectivity issues.
- Contribute to documentation, configuration management and routine maintenance tasks for hardware, software and networked devices.
- Collaborate with experienced trainers and technical teams on practical projects and learning assignments to apply theoretical knowledge in a production environment.
Qualifications
- Motivation to pursue a formal IT apprenticeship (CFC) and long-term interest in IT as a profession.
- Aptitude for mathematics and technical subjects, with logical, methodical and analytical thinking.
- Capacity for concentration and adaptability to evolving technologies.
- Application dossier including CV, cover letter and school reports (last three academic years).
- Registration and completion of the EVA and GRI aptitude tests (applicant must provide test results).
Skills
Experience
No prior professional experience required; candidates are expected to demonstrate academic aptitude and genuine interest in IT. Practical or school-based project experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Completed compulsory schooling / secondary school with strong results; eligibility and intent to pursue a Swiss CFC apprenticeship in IT (application development or infrastructure tracks).
