Rolex internship in Research & Development in Geneva: evaluate welded assembly reliability on precious metal watch components.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in developing simulations of weld behaviour on precious metal components
- Experimentally validate the performance of completed simulations
- Establish and execute test plans to identify key parameters influencing welded assemblies
- Characterise the metallurgy of weld beads
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Strong theoretical foundation in materials resistance and mechanics
- Competency in finite element simulation
- Demonstrated interest in conducting experimental testing with rigour, pragmatism, and interpersonal ease
