Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing simulations of weld behaviour on precious metal components
  • Experimentally validate the performance of completed simulations
  • Establish and execute test plans to identify key parameters influencing welded assemblies
  • Characterise the metallurgy of weld beads

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong theoretical foundation in materials resistance and mechanics
  • Competency in finite element simulation
  • Demonstrated interest in conducting experimental testing with rigour, pragmatism, and interpersonal ease
