Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high‑precision production equipment, including mechanical, electrical and electromechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot machine faults rapidly to minimize production downtime; execute root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Carry out machine calibration, alignment and fine adjustment to maintain production tolerances required for watch components.
  • Document maintenance activities and spare‑parts usage in the maintenance system (CMMS); prepare technical reports and maintenance dossiers for quality audits.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality and engineering teams to support new equipment introductions, process qualifications and continuous improvement projects (5S, TPM, Lean).
  • Manage spare parts stocks and recommend procurement actions to ensure availability of critical components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and internal manufacturing procedures; participate in risk assessments and machine safeguarding measures.
  • Coach and advise machine operators on proper use, basic troubleshooting and routine checks to reduce calls for service.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma, apprenticeship or technical degree in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, electrotechnology, mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven track record (typically 3+ years) in equipment maintenance within precision manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, technical drawings and PLC ladder logic.
  • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance methodologies and maintenance planning.
  • Fluent technical written and verbal communication skills to prepare maintenance records and liaise with cross‑functional teams.
