Rolex seeks a Group Manager, Technical Drawings in Geneva — lead the drafting team to deliver CAD and production-ready documentation for precision watch components.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary drafting team responsible for production-ready technical drawings and documentation for watch components.
- Define, implement and maintain CAD standards, drawing templates and version-control processes to ensure consistency and manufacturability.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of technical documentation, from initial design release through production transfer and revisions control.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, prototyping, production, quality and supply-chain teams to ensure drawings meet functional, tolerance and assembly requirements.
- Validate drawings for compliance with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), material specifications and internal design rules.
- Manage resource planning, project priorities and delivery schedules for the drawings group, escalating risks and driving corrective actions.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering technical excellence, continuous improvement and adherence to confidentiality and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design or equivalent technical qualification; a recognized horology diploma (e.g., WOSTEP) is advantageous.
- Proven track record in technical documentation for precision mechanical components, preferably within watchmaking or high-precision manufacturing.
- Demonstrated people-management experience, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a small technical team.
- Strong command of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and applied manufacturing processes.
- Fluent technical communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with engineering and production stakeholders.

Experience
Several years of progressive experience in technical drawing, CAD and documentation within precision engineering or horology, including prior responsibility for leading a drafting or documentation team and managing deliverables to production.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent technical diploma; horology qualifications are desirable.
