Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurement campaigns: preparation, acquisition, post‑processing and interpretation of results.
- Contribute to the design and iterative improvement of test fixtures and tooling, including prototyping using 3D printing.
- Optimize and maintain experimental setups and test benches to improve repeatability and data quality.
- Develop, maintain and automate data‑processing pipelines and analysis tools using Python to accelerate result delivery.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Practical experience with Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) or equivalent optical flow measurement techniques.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting and basic automation.
- Methodical, organized, autonomous and proactive approach to laboratory work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Skills
Experience
Hands‑on experience operating PIV systems and interpreting velocity field data; prior exposure to experimental test rigs and laboratory measurement protocols is expected.
Education
Enrolled Master's degree (MSc) in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
