Rolex SA is hiring a Facilities Planning and Implementation Manager in Bienne, Switzerland to oversee manufacturing layout projects and production facility optimization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Translate production and industrialisation requirements into robust, Lean-compliant, and standards-aligned facility layout solutions
- Drive projects and mandates from needs analysis through delivery, coordinating all stakeholders across disciplines
- Manage, prioritize, and arbitrate a diverse portfolio of requests, from single-site tasks to complex multi-sector transformation projects
- Design facility layouts while integrating constraints across workflow, quality, cost, scheduling, occupational safety, maintenance, and building infrastructure
- Oversee project documentation, scheduling, risk management, and reporting; maintain current vision of facility surfaces, layouts, and active mandates
- Contribute to PMT reviews, Master Plan sessions, and continuous improvement of facility layout standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, planning, and cross-functional coordination with appropriate formalism for project scope
- Mastery of Lean methodologies and operational excellence practices
- Proficiency in technical documentation authoring and interdisciplinary meeting facilitation
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and data interpretation capabilities
- Rigour, autonomy, versatility, and collaborative spirit with excellent interpersonal skills and consultative approach in multidisciplinary settings
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in industrial facility layout planning or production operations management is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder relationships in a manufacturing environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
