Rolex SA seeks Equipment Acquisition Project Manager in Bienne, Switzerland. Lead full-cycle equipment procurement and installation projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and formalize end-user requirements in alignment with enterprise strategic, budgetary, and regulatory directives
- Coordinate internal stakeholders (users and enterprise services) and external partners (suppliers) to ensure seamless project execution
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards throughout the acquisition cycle
- Identify, anticipate, and manage technical, operational, financial, and organizational project risks
- Draft detailed specifications, technical requirements documents, and investment dossiers
- Establish preliminary schedules, budgets, resource allocation plans, and performance tracking metrics
- Research available technical solutions and facilitate decision-making forums
- Prepare and oversee competitive bidding processes, quotation requests, and vendor consultations in coordination with procurement
- Evaluate technical and financial proposals, compare offers, and formulate recommendations to stakeholders
- Monitor orders, supply lead times, contractual terms, and vendor performance issues
- Coordinate equipment preparation, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing, and formal acceptance operations
- Participate in validation, qualification, and production launch activities according to established procedures
Qualifications
- HES, ES, or university-level advanced education in technical, industrial, engineering, project management, technical procurement, or equivalent discipline
- Significant professional experience managing complex projects from conception to completion
- Prior experience in equipment acquisition, installation, qualification, or renewal—highly advantageous
- Mastery of project management methodologies and tools: scoping, scheduling, budget tracking, risk management, and reporting
- Ability to translate user requirements into functional and technical specifications within formal specification documents
- Strong negotiation capabilities to reconcile internal service demands and operational constraints with supplier limitations
- Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects while prioritizing actions and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with office and project management tools: spreadsheets, planning software, dashboards, and collaborative platforms
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills in document control, tracking, and deadline management
- Analytical and synthetic thinking to assess requirements, compare solutions, and inform decision-making
- Sound prioritization and responsiveness in environments with competing demands
