Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyse and control electrolyte baths used for galvanic surface treatments.
- Operate, monitor and optimise automated galvanic treatment lines and associated equipment.
- Perform post-treatment rinsing, surface finishing and inspection of parts (e.g. dials).
- Determine principal electrolyte components and calculate required volumes of chemical products.
- Adjust, calibrate and maintain electroplating equipment, instrumentation and machines.
- Conduct routine maintenance of technical installations and verify correct functioning.
- Calculate process parameters related to surface treatments: pretreatment, current density, deposition time and treated surface area.
- Inspect treated parts to detect anomalies and implement corrective actions.
- Manage chemical stocks and handle hazardous waste in compliance with safety procedures.
Qualifications
- CFC (Swiss Federal VET diploma) as Electroplaster / Electroplater or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Practical knowledge of galvanotechnical / electroplating processes and surface treatment techniques.
- Understanding of chemical safety, handling and storage regulations.
- Methodical, meticulous and quality-oriented work approach with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good interpersonal skills, availability and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Capacity to work autonomously while maintaining high standards.
Skills
Experience
Vocational qualification in electroplating is required; prior experience in industrial surface treatments or galvanic processes is an asset.
Education
CFC Electroplaste (electroplater) or equivalent vocational diploma.
