Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble, install and maintain progressive and modular stamping dies, ensuring operational readiness on production presses.
- Perform grinding, fine adjustments and set-up trials on presses to validate tool performance and part quality.
- Inspect stamped parts for dimensional and aesthetic defects; diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with the production department to optimize tooling performance and production flow.
- Drive continuous improvement by proposing tooling modifications, participating in root-cause analysis and documenting changes.
- Execute preventive maintenance and maintain accurate tooling records and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, safety procedures and shop-floor best practices.
Qualifications
- CFC Polymechanic (polymécanicien) or equivalent vocational qualification in mechanical/toolmaking.
- Proven hands-on experience with stamping dies or high‑precision tooling in a mechanical or watchmaking environment.
- Native French or German speaker with strong working proficiency in French.
- Analytical mindset with a collaborative team spirit and strong adaptability.
- Proactive, partnership-oriented, flexible, autonomous, well organised and rigorous.
Skills
Experience
Several years of practical experience (typically 3+ years) in die making, tool maintenance or high‑precision tooling within mechanical or watchmaking production.
Education
CFC Polymechanic (polymécanicien) or equivalent vocational/technical diploma.
