Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate and adjust pad printing (tampography) equipment to apply markings, logos and indices to watch dials with exacting precision.
  • Prepare printing clichés and pads, mix and match inks and varnishes, and control colour consistency to meet stringent brand specifications.
  • Perform micrometric alignment and mechanical set-up of printing tools and fixtures to achieve tolerances required for high-end watch dials.
  • Inspect printed dials under stereo microscope for registration, ink deposition, edge definition and surface defects; implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain production records and ensure full traceability of batches in accordance with internal quality systems.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment and contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives with R&D and production teams.
  • Respect cleanroom and contamination-control procedures where applicable, and adhere to workplace safety and chemical-handling protocols.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma in watchmaking, micro-mechanics, industrial printing or equivalent; WOSTEP or similar credentials advantageous.
  • Minimum three years' hands-on experience in tampography/pad printing or dial decoration within the watch industry or a precision-manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, fine-motor control and visual acuity for work under microscope.
  • Strong knowledge of colour theory, ink formulation and surface treatments relevant to watch dials.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow strict manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
