Rolex in Geneva seeks a Data Project Manager to lead analytics and data platform initiatives and bridge business and IT.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data initiatives from discovery through deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear project scope, requirements, success criteria and roadmaps for analytics, BI and data platform workstreams.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, IT architects, product owners and external vendors to deliver on time and on budget.
- Define and enforce project governance, risk management, timelines, resource plans and change control processes.
- Specify data quality, lineage and governance requirements and collaborate with IT/security to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory constraints.
- Oversee development and rollout of dashboards, reports and data products; validate deliverables and drive adoption through training and change management.
- Monitor project KPIs and produce regular status reporting for senior leadership and business stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts and third‑party integrations when external suppliers are engaged.
Qualifications
- Proven track record delivering data, analytics or BI projects within a complex corporate environment.
- Strong project management credentials; PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred.
- Solid understanding of data architecture concepts, data modelling and data governance principles.
- Demonstrable ability to liaise with technical teams and senior business stakeholders, managing competing priorities and expectations.
- Fluency in English and professional working proficiency in French preferred.
Skills
Experience
Several years (typically 3–7+) of progressive experience managing data, analytics or business intelligence projects, ideally within regulated or manufacturing-driven organisations. Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and working with cloud data platforms is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline; Master's degree preferred.
