Rolex seeks a Cross-Functional Project Manager in Bienne, Switzerland to lead industrialisation and production improvement initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery and cost and quality control of assigned projects, with regular progress reporting to senior management
- Promote a project-driven and continuous improvement culture within the Support and Industrialisation & Production teams
- Scope projects: analyse requirements, identify stakeholders, define scope, objectives, milestones, and project mandate for leadership validation
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules encompassing work packages, tasks, resource allocation, and budgetary control
- Facilitate cross-functional working groups and collaborative workshops (brainstorming, problem-solving, lessons learned) using recognised Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
- Coach and support teams through strategic and operational reflection phases via structured methodologies, employing consultative questioning and decision-facilitating techniques
- Provide methodological guidance and project management tooling to field staff including team leaders, operators, and process champions
- Monitor project progression via key performance indicators, identify emerging risks, and propose mitigation and corrective action plans
- Manage change requests and adjust project plans accordingly throughout project lifecycles
- Communicate project status regularly via steering committees, status reports, and formal documentation
- Capture and disseminate best practices and methodological approaches across the organisation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Organisation, or equivalent discipline
- Demonstrated success in project management and/or continuous improvement initiatives in industrial settings
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) or Lean/Six Sigma certification (highly valued)
- Strong mastery of project management disciplines including scoping, planning, execution, and closure
- Proficiency with office tools, project management software, and collaborative workshop facilitation
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence methodologies and tools
- Ability to structure complex reasoning, analyse and synthesise data to inform strategic and tactical decisions, balancing broad vision with operational acuity
- Leadership capability and ability to influence and motivate teams without direct hierarchical authority
- Coaching and facilitation mindset: capacity to elicit ideas and support teams without imposing direction
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, diplomatic acumen, and active listening capabilities to navigate and arbitrate competing stakeholder interests with situational intelligence
- Methodical approach, strong organisational discipline, and process rigour

Experience
Successfully executed projects and continuous improvement initiatives in industrial or manufacturing environments; demonstrated leadership across matrix organisations and successful delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Organisation, or equivalent discipline (school of engineering or business administration)
