Rolex in Geneva seeks a Control Methods Technician (Surface Treatments, Colorimetry & Coatings) — permanent production role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain inspection programmes and control routines for new products in surface treatment, colour finishing and coating processes.
- Release control programmes within defined timelines and specify fixturing and equipment requirements for inspection systems.
- Support production workshops during initial controls to validate programmes and ensure correct implementation on the shopfloor.
- Train and coach operators on the correct use of inspection means and measurement procedures.
- Ensure and monitor capability of inspection equipment and measurement methods.
- Define optimal inspection sequences in collaboration with project teams, balancing capability, accuracy and inspection time.
Qualifications
- HES engineering degree or ES technician diploma in microtechnology, or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated expertise in colour control, surface-finish evaluation, bath quality and gloss assessment.
- Practical experience in dimensional and instrument metrology.
- Knowledge of METROLOG programming is an asset.
- Proven communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Autonomous, rigorous, proactive with a strong analytical mindset and a preference for hands-on, shopfloor engagement.

Professional experience in metrology and quality control within surface treatment or finishing processes; prior exposure to industrialisation/project support on the shopfloor is expected.
Education
HES engineering degree or ES technician diploma in microtechnology, or equivalent vocational/technical qualification.
