Role & Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the corporate fleet of client devices (Windows and macOS), including provisioning, configuration, imaging and decommissioning.
  • Manage endpoint lifecycle using MDM/EMM and deployment tooling (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM/ConfigMgr) and ensure consistent application of security baselines and OS updates.
  • Operate and maintain Active Directory and Azure AD accounts and group policies related to client access and device management.
  • Troubleshoot complex desktop hardware and software incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive fixes to closure with minimal disruption to business users.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures for client workstation administration and incident response.
  • Collaborate with IT security, networking and service desk teams to implement endpoint security, VPN access and remote support solutions.
  • Participate in projects to deploy new endpoint technologies, manage pilot programs and define migration strategies for upgrades and rollouts.
  • Deliver occasional out‑of-hours support for critical incidents or planned deployments as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' hands‑on experience in desktop/client workstation administration or endpoint engineering.
  • Proven experience administering Windows 10/11 environments; macOS support experience highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy and modern MDM/EMM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM/ConfigMgr).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS and common enterprise applications; proficiency with PowerShell or shell scripting for automation.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tools and best practices (antivirus/EDR, disk encryption, patch management).
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (for example Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation) but not mandatory.
