Rolex in Geneva seeks a Building Services Designer (HVAC/CVCS) to produce MEP drawings, coordinate contractors and ensure technical compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics for HVAC, ventilation, heating and sanitary systems in accordance with project briefs and site constraints.
- Develop and dimension mechanical systems (ductwork, piping, plantroom layouts) and perform thermal and fluid calculations to validate system performance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with architects, structural and MEP engineers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure constructibility and compliance.
- Prepare technical specifications, bill of materials and tender documentation for mechanical works; review contractor submissions and shop drawings.
- Contribute to BIM models and maintain up-to-date project documentation, revisions and as-built records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable Swiss building codes, safety standards and internal technical directives; participate in site visits and commissioning when required.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services / MEP Engineering, HVAC, or equivalent vocational training.
- Proven experience in building services design, ideally within industrial, institutional, or complex technical facilities (manufacturing or high-precision environments).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, sanitary systems, thermal load calculations and duct/piping design.
- Demonstrable experience producing construction-ready CAD/BIM deliverables and preparing technical specifications.

Experience
Typically 3+ years of hands-on experience in building services or MEP design, with a track record of delivering construction documentation for HVAC and sanitary systems; experience in industrial or technically demanding facilities is highly valued.
Education
Degree or vocational diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services (MEP), HVAC technology, or equivalent technical qualification.
