Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theoretical instruction to apprentices specialising in watch case finishing and polishing.
  • Monitor and update individual training plans throughout each apprentice's curriculum to ensure competence progression.
  • Plan and coordinate workplace placements and practical internships; prepare apprentices for vocational examinations.
  • Provide personalised follow-up for each apprentice, implementing remedial actions where required to secure learning outcomes.
  • Design and deliver technical training sessions for shop floor staff and colleagues.
  • Participate in recruitment activities for apprenticeship intake and assess candidate suitability.
  • Contribute to apprenticeship events and represent the training centre at internal and external forums.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects to optimise training content, workshop layout and pedagogical methods.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between internal and external partners involved in the apprenticeship programme.

Qualifications

  • Federal VET diploma (CFC) as Watch Finisher / Case finishing (Termineur en habillage horloger).
  • Solid practical knowledge of automatic finishing processes and machinery (terminaison automatique).
  • Good understanding of the Swiss vocational education and training (VET) system.
  • Experience in training or teaching is an asset.
  • Proven ability to organise, document and evolve individual training plans.
